Besides the hospital training, fully equipped Anatomy, Physiology, Electrotherapy and Exercise therapy laboratories are available for the students to practice and familiarize themselves with the handling of various equipment and to perfect their therapy techniques. The College has well equipped spacious demonstration halls separately for exercise therapy & electrotherapy so that student can understand effectively, what they have learnt in the classroom. Practical sessions are designed such that the students are allowed to practice individually so that the basic concepts are well understood.
Audio Visual Aids
College has well furnished seminar halls. It is equipped with audiovisual equipment like slide and film projectors, OHP's, Video projectors, TV's, VCD/DVD players, LCDs and audio systems, thus making learning more interesting and attractive.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Program
CPD is conducted on the 1st Wednesday of every month on various topics. National & International speakers are invited and the program helps to update the students in the recent trends in practice.
A mentorship program is actively functioning in the college. As soon as a student joins the college, he is allotted a staff mentor. The mentor helps the student to adjust to changes from school to college and will provide the student personal help and guidance in all their needs throughout the course.
Professional Skills Enhancement Program
In order to train the students in allied/related skills, the college conducts a Professional Skills Enhancement program, where students are given additional training in fitness management, Ergonomics, yoga etc., This widens the scope of practice and increases the job prospects of the students.
Computers and English
During the first year, all students are given training in basic computer skills (MS Office, internet etc.,) and communicative english.
The college library has one of the largest collections of Physiotherapy titles in Tamilnadu, with over 2000 different titles and more than 4000 books. Every academic year, books and journals worth more than 2.5 lakhs rupees are added to the library. Internet facilities are available for the students in the college and library. The library regularly subscribes to periodicals related to Physiotherapy, Medicine, allied health sciences, and WHO publications. All reputed international and national journals are available in the library.
Staff Journal Club
Staff Journal club is conducted every Friday evening between 4.00 p.m to 5.00 p.m in the hospital department discussion hall. Recent updates in the therapy are discussed by one staff each week on rotational basis.
A placement cell is functioning in the college, which assists the students in securing job/going abroad/in higher studies. This is the only college having campus interviews and recruitment.
Along with studies sports training is given for 2 days per week for all the students. They are also taught about on field training and management of sports injuries. The students are also motivated according to their talents to practice well to take part in the intercollegiate & university sports meets. Facilities are provided for both indoor & outdoor games.
The cultural committee conducts monthly cultural programs by the students. This helps to break the study routine and gives an opportunity for students to excel in extra-curricular activities.
Hepatitis B Immunisation Program
A standing Hepatitis B immunization is in force in the college, ensuring that every students & faculty is fully immunized against Hepatitis B infection.
Hostel facilities are provided separately for the female and male students. The hostels are located in a separate campus about 2 Kilometres from the college. The students are transported to and from the college by a fleet of institution vehicles.
