This is the branch of physiotherapy concerned with the treatment of injuries or disorders of the skeletal system and associated muscles, joints and ligaments. This includes sprains, strains, post - fracture, post-surgery and repetitive injuries to the spine, neck, back and the extremities.
Orthopaedic Physiotherapy is a scientific approach to treatment following Evidence Based Guidelines. The Course contents include Basic medical science, biomechanics and kinesiology, exercise physiology, exercise therapy, emergency care, physiotherapy in orthopedic diseases, orthopedic surgery, educational psychology, rehabilitation physical medicine and a mandatory dissertation based on project work.
